Rational and the Hospitality Show, January 21 – 23, 2013, NEC Birmingham
The working day was the theme on Rational’s stand at the Hospitality Show 2013
. It started with croissants and breakfast grill, moving on to steaks, pizzas, vegetarian options and chips for lunch followed by afternoon muffins. Throughout the day Rational demonstrated how the SelfCookingCenter® whitefficiency® cooks everything to perfection – and of course visitors got to try what was cooked.
For those who wanted something a bit meatier, Rational also put the SelfCookingCenter’s overnight roasting program through its paces, producing a variety of roast meats throughout the day. All of which meant that, as usual, the Rational stand was the hub of attention, with a constant stream of visitors watching the cooking and sampling the results.
“Given the terrible weather conditions, we had a very good show,” says Lee Norton, managing director of Rational UK
. “Most exhibitors were concerned before the opening because we’d had so much snow and the forecasters were predicting more. As it turned out the Monday was good for numbers and especially quality of visitors, and that profile kept up throughout the Show. ”
“There was also a good mix in terms of national accounts, independents and business partners. The whole event had a very good buzz about it – the only slight disappointment being that there seemed to be fewer exhibitors, so the Show was smaller than last time round. Hopefully the organisers will be able to sort that for next time!”
“All in all, a very worthwhile event.”
Rational will be exhibiting at several more Shows during the year, including Catex in Dublin (19-21 Feb), ScotHot in Glasgow (4-6 March) and the Hotel & Catering Show in Bournemouth (5 & 6 March).
